Service Description

The bar for a "perfect" yoga practice is set high from the thousands of images we see in media showing advanced poses expressed with apparent ease and flexibility. Some of us are stepping into the yoga teacher role and some of us have taught yoga though many lifestyle changes which included changes in body, mind, and soul. As a yoga teacher, you may be comfortable teaching an "All Levels" class so you can easily demo and teach without a break in focus. Or, maybe you love teaching the "advanced" poses that require your undivided attention to guide students to a safe expression of the pose. Regardless of your preference, students will arrive in your class at many levels, with a variety of intentions, and with a strong desire to experience a satisfying practice. Our role, as teacher-practice guides, is to support each student by meeting them where they are in their practice and leading them to a non-judgmental state of awareness. We want to help them settle into a state of not judging self and others, not getting lost in comparison, and not completely bypassing the opportunity to explore mindful awareness to find inner tranquility. Although this class is for yoga teachers, as a yoga practitioner we are all teachers of ourselves. We will identify issues, brainstorm ideas, and consider solutions to improve the culture of in studio or on line classes. All perspectives are welcome! 3 hrs YA CE credit $45
