Tai Chi is thousands of years old and is practiced by all age groups all over the world! How do we being to describe the experience of Tai Chi? It flows, connects you and your breath with your inner Self, and creates agility and balance for the body. Research has shown that Tai Chi improves cognitive abilities to decrease dementia, increases balance to decrease the likely of falling, helps the brain retrain after stroke and concussion, improves focus and concentration, and is a gentle low impact exercise for strength building. Each class focuses on one or two forms (movements) using the body, mind, spirit, and breath. You will also learn about the foundation philosophy of Tai Chi and have time to practice, practice, practice, and ask questions. After each class, a handout with detailed instructions for each form is provided so you can practice between classes. This is a class you can enjoy by yourself, with a partner, or with the entire family (age 7 and up).
