Service Description

The word “Mudra” means “produce joy.” Mudras have been used for centuries and can be traced back to the Vedas and the Upanishads. Mudras are hand or body positions that can aid in meditation, physical and mental healing, and spiritual intention. Mudras activate the body – mind - soul energy connection to communicate and seal an intention, enhance breathwork (pranayama), activate the subtle bodies, and focus the mind during practices. Many cultures use mudras for a more defined and deeper experience during practice. If you would like to learn more about the science and research that has been done on Mudras, we will explore some research studies to discover the results. If you are curious about the benefits of mudras and how you might begin to use mudras in your practices, this is a great class to help you get started. If you have experience with mudras and would like to expand your knowledge and use of mudras, this is a great class to explore the many mudras that are less commonly used. This class includes a handout and a guided recorded Mudra Flow meditation.
